Can I access databases or e-journals from off-campus?
With a current eID and password, off campus users (currently enrolled students, faculty and staff) may access resources including databases and electronic journals. If the EZproxy does not recognize you as a legitimate K-Stater, you will be prompted for your eID and password. Your eID is the first part of your K-State e-mail address. For example, if your e-mail address is wildcat@k-state.edu, your eID is wildcat.
E-Journals and Databases are accessible through "quick links" at the top of most K-State Libraries' web pages.

Many E-Journals are also reachable through the Online Catalog.
  1. Search for your journal title in the Online Catalog:
  2. When you see your title, click on the title that also says [electronic resource].
  3. Once in the record, check the holdings information to verify which volumes are accessible.
  4. Click on the linked URL labeled "Remote access."
If you need assistance, contact the K-State IT Help Desk at 214 Hale Library, (785) 532-7722, or e-mail .

If you have trouble with a specific database or e-journal, e-mail janehale.

See the Help Topics on the right hand side of this page for further assistance.
